EHS Student Included in Young Playwrights 2015 at Overture Center

The original 10-minute play, The Date, written by Sophia Janus ’15 in Pamela Hanson-Stewart’s Modern Drama class, is being staged in the Playhouse Theatre at the Overture Center, 6:30 p.m. on April 28. The Young Playwrights program of Children’s Theatre of Madison sends guest instructor-artists out to Madison area schools to work with students on the creation of short play scripts and then a juried selection is presented to the public. This year, six area schools are participating. Admission is free (donation suggested). Attend and congratulate Sophia if you know her!

Other Edgewood students who received Honorable Mention for their scripts are Natalie Guse–Penguins in Shoes; MC Maaneb de Macedo–The Cloaked Man; Johnny Mathews III–Red Footed; and Martin Schreibman–An Average Day at Northside High School.

Congratulations to all!
