Emma Makes the Elite 8

Emma Meriggioli ’15 is now a sophomore at California Baptist University majoring in elementary education. She plays guard for the Lancers Women’s Basketball Team that made it to the NCAA Division II Elite 8. The Lancers defeated the University of West Florida Argonauts 77-69 in the first round but were eliminated in the second by Virginia Union’s Panthers 81-86.

On the 12-player squad with Emma are four other Wisconsin players! Freshman Kaylee Hinson from Monona Grove HS,  senior Cassidy Mihalko from Franklin HS, junior Emily Schmidt from Luther Prep in Ixonia and senior Olivia Weber from Kettle Moraine HS.
