Jordan Lentz ’10 Shares Her Artistry at EHS

Many thanks go to Jordan Lentz ’10 (pictured with her mom, Teresa West-Lentz), who returned to Edgewood today to do two sessions during the Fine Arts Festival Guest Artist Day. Jordan earned a BFA with an emphasis in illustration from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago.

She says, “I have a wide range of interests from scientific illustration, to tattooing, to horror movie make-up and special effects, and I have acquired a strong background in drawing and painting.  Previously, I have worked at the Shedd Aquarium, doing freelance illustrations for the Fish Identification System; Anthropologie, as a creative display intern; and at the Monroe Street Fine Arts Center in Madison as an art intern and instructor. I am a practicing artist and am excited to continue to teach and work with students to improve their skills at Lillstreet art center in Chicago, while working as a tattoo apprentice.”

Jordan presented a demonstration of creating marker art (Edgewood has a beautiful framed set of five works done by Jordan in that medium depicting the Sinsinawa Dominican Values) and discussed her artwork and her career with students.
