Dine for a Cause! Alumnae Host Benefit Dinner

Alex Lindenmeyer ’07 and Sinead McHugh ’07 are the owners of Short Stack Eatery on State Street in Madison. The restaurant, which features a breakfast menu and specializes in pancakes, has become a local favorite.

The dinner on Tuesday, December 13, 6-9 pm, 

You’ll enjoy an exquisite four-course meal with wine and cocktail pairings in an intimate evening setting. This event makes for a great way to kick off the holiday giving season with a silent auction, raffle prizes, and live music. All proceeds benefit DAIS: Domestic Abuse Intervention Services.

DAIS has worked passionately and effectively to ensure the safety and well-being of domestic violence survivors and their families. DAIS helps to change societal attitudes that perpetuate violence and the abuse of power. Learn more about the organization that works to make Dane County a safer, more just, more equitable place for people who have experienced domestic violence, their children, and the people who love them.

Guests are encouraged to bring items from the DAIS Wish List to help keep the shelter running and make a huge difference in the lives of adults and children affected by domestic violence. For every item donated, guests will receive a free raffle ticket and the chance to win great prizes.

The Edgewood High School Social Studies Department doesn’t need to remind you that today is election day (at last!!!) but they do want to make sure you do get out and vote for candidates and issues up and down the ballot. As you cast your vote — enthusiastically or grudgingly — rely on your beliefs, your reflective judgment and the values embraced by Edgewood: Truth, Compassion, Justice, Community and Partnership.

So a Badger and a Wildcat walk onto a field and...

...they shake hands. Former Edgewood High School Crusader teammates Cody Link ’16 (left) and Evan Bondoc ’14 (right) play football for Northwestern and UW-Madison respectively. The two teams faced off on Ryan Field in Evanston on Saturday, November 5, where the Badgers prevailed 21-7. That didn’t stop the two players from opposing teams from exchanging a warm greeting at a brief mini-reunion.
