Ambassador Tefft in the news again

After presenting his credentials in the Kremlin in Moscow last November,U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Tefft (left) posed for a photo with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Associated Press

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel carried an extensive profile piece on Ambassador John Tefft ’67 and U.S.-Russian relations. In the article by Bill Glauber, John jokingly refers to his days at Edgewood High School, saying that when he had to choose between taking a course in physics and a course in Russian history, “That was a no-brainer when it came to my science ability.” Thanks for the mention, Ambassador Tefft!

St. Patrick’s Day brings EHS the luck of the Irish!

Many schools would be green with envy at the number of Edgewood alumni who work at their alma mater. With the arrival of St. Patrick’s Day, you can’t get much more Irish than a namesake and EHS’s most recent hire as we add to that pot of gold (and maroon) employees.

Paderic Driscoll ’07 has just started in the position as Help Desk Technician. Paddy will be backing up classmate Ben Mund ’07 and math teacher/technical coordinator John Hylkema when faculty, staff and students need help with equipment and software.

Ben Mund has been working in the Technology Department at EHS since 2013 while pursuing a degree in computer systems administration. He has also been the school’s webmaster, has served as key member of the technology committee—particularly in leading a move toward use of Google apps—and is a coach for the Edgewood Ultimate Frisbee Platypi team.
